Regarding geopolitical location, Ho Chi Minh City has a total area of 2,056 km2, including 1 city and 21 districts (16 districts and 5 districts), the City’s population is over 8.99 million people. Favorable geographical location with the North bordering Binh Duong province, the Northwest bordering Tay Ninh province, the East and Northeast bordering Dong Nai province, the Southeast bordering Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, the West Southwest bordering Long An and Tien provinces Giang, the southern part borders the sea. The city has a very favourable geopolitical position in all aspects of the southern region and international trade.
The Cu Chi Tunnels are a vast network of underground tunnels that were once used by the Viet Cong soldiers during the Vietnam War. The tunnels were mainly used as a hideout, to stay out of the Americans and the South Vietnamese forces’ sight.
The Mekong Delta region encompasses a large portion of south western Vietnam of over 40,500 km2. The size of the area covered by water depends on the season. Its wet coastal geography makes it an important source of agriculture and aquaculture for the country.
DAY 01: SAI GON ARRIVAL (L/D)
Morning: Bus and guide welcome at Tan Son Nhat airport and transfer to, visit Reunification Palace, Central Post Office, City Hall, Notre Dame Cathedral. Have lunch at restaurant
Afternoon; Visit War museum, Chinese Town and then shopping at An Dong market and Ben Thanh markets. Have dinner at restaurant.
Evening: Free to go shopping at Ben Thanh night market. Overnight at hotel
DAY 02: SAI GON – CU CHI TUNNEL (B/L/D)
Morning: Have breakfast at hotel. Transfer to explore the Cu Chi Tunnels – an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese soldiers during the long struggle for independence. The Tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the American war. Have lunch at restaurant
Afternoon: Back to Sai Gon. Free at leisure or shopping at Sai Gon square. Have dinner at restaurant
Evening: Free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 03: SAI GON – MEKONG RIVER DELTA – SAI GON (B/L/D)
Morning: Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to My Tho. Upon arrival, take cruising boat along Mekong river. On the way, you can see 04 Islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix. Visit Thoi Son Islet: fruit orchard, enjoy “Cai Luong” (traditional folk music), Coconut candy workshop, and Honey-bee farm. Transfer out by small boat through small canals and discover every nook and cranny.
Lunch at restaurant.
Afternoon: Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda. Back to Sai Gon. Have dinner at restaurant then transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for departure flight. End of the tour.
